Music is a vital part of our overall ministry. We enjoy singing hymns and songs for the Lord during worship services and other gatherings. We are blessed with good musicians to lead us, and all of us are welcome to join in--listen in reverence, sing along, clap hands, tap toes, offer praise and thanksgiving.
Our contemporary service, at 9:00 a.m., is lead musically by our talented Praise Band, under the direction of our praise leader, Chip Cooley.
The band performs today's praise songs and Christian rock music with amplified instruments including guitars, bass, electronic keyboard, and drums.
We encourage people to engage in this upbeat worship service by singing along, clapping hands, beating drums or shaking tambourines.
We provide some percussion instruments for anyone who wishes to join in, and some people have even been known to bring their own instruments.
The Praise Band rehearses on Thursday evenings in the sancturay.
Our traditional service, at 11:00 a.m., is lead musically by our Chancel Choir, under the direction of Allen Benson, and by our organist/pianist Debbie Benson.
Music styles range from classical, gospel, blue grass, and rock, featuring the best from each genre for a truly eclectic music experience.
We enjoy singing favorite hymns of praise and thanksgiving, old and new, and we've been known to clap hands and shout "Alleluia" during this vibrant service.
On special occasions music is provided by vocalists and instrumentalists on guitars, recorders, flutes, saxaphones, trumpets, french horns, and more.
The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings in the choir room.
